I see my role as providing my players the structure, support and golf knowledge to develop the skills necessary to build a successful career in professional golf. I measure my coaching success on player performance.
The overriding questions I ask regarding every student: "What do we need to do in order for this players scoring average to improve?
Sucess is measured by performance...pretty only matters in pictures; it's the results that count!
Many players go from tournament to tournament, season to season with ambitions of great results. But the main strategy for many players to achieve these ambitions is just 'hope'...hoping that the next week or month will be their breakthrough.
Research has shown that there are 'critical success factor's to thriving at Tour level, and these factors are what I concentrate on in my coaching. One of these is to have a long term skill development structure or plan.
"If nothing changes, nothing changes".
What I mean by this,is that if your technical, mental, strategic or physiological skills at the same level, it's not logical to expect to see a great improvement in your results. But if month by month your skills in each area are improving, then it's logical to see a difference in your results.
It's these noticeable results I work for with every player that walks in my door.
